What is phpSiteScanner?
Think of it as a lite version of phpSiteMinder. We realise that not everyone needs automatic backup and file integrity monitoring system, so we have taken our scanning engine and made it available in phpSiteScanner for people that want to check there website manually for malware, backdoor shell scripts and the like. So if you are cleaning up your website after it was hacked, then phpSiteScanner is for you.
phpSiteScanner is a php program that will scan your website files looking for suspicious content, such as javascript and php code that could be used to deliver malware to your websites visitors, or code that could let a hacker/cracker modify your files.
If you are unfortunate enough to have your website hacked, it may be difficult for you to identify which files have been comprimised. phpSiteScanner will help you identify which files are potentially dangerous allowing you to replace the affected files with their original versions.
When you run phpSiteScanner it will produce a report of all the problems it finds, giving you a check list of files and issues that need to be investigated.
